Atypical k-essence cosmologies

چکیده
We analyze the implications of having a divergent speed of sound in k-essence cosmological models. We first study a known theory of that kind, for which the Lagrangian density depends linearly on the time derivative of the k-field. We show that consistency requires that the potential of the k-field be of the inverse square form. Then, we review the known result that the corresponding power-law solutions can be mapped to power-law solutions of theories with no divergence in the speed of sound. After that, we argue that the requirement of a divergent sound speed at some point fixes uniquely the form of the Lagrangian to be exactly the one considered earlier. Finally, we prove the asymptotic stability of the most interesting solutions belonging to the divergent theory. ∗[email protected] ∗∗[email protected]

Rigidity of cosmic acceleration in a class of k-essence cosmologies
We study the structural stability of a cosmic acceleration (inflation) in a class of k-essence cosmologies against changes in the shape of the potential. Those models may be viewed as generalized tachyon cosmologies and this analysis extends previous results on the structural stability of cosmic acceleration in tachyon cosmologies. The study considers both phantom and non-phantom cases. The con...

We generally investigate the scalar field model with the lagrangian L = F (X) − V (φ), which we call it General Non-Linear Scalar Field Model. We find that it is the square po-tential(with a negative minimum) that drives the usual linear field solution(φ = φ 0 t) while in K-essence model(with the lagrangian L = −V (φ)F (X)) the potential should be taken as a inverse square form, and their cosmo...

We generally investigate a new class of scalar field model with the lagrangian L = F (X) − V (φ). We find that it is the square potential(with a negative minimum) drives the usual linear field solution while in K-essence model the potential should be taken as a inverse square form. The linear field solution model is isomorphic with a special model where its sound speed diverges. We find that ou...
متن کاملSupersymmetry of Frw Barotropic Cosmologies
Barotropic FRW cosmologies are presented from the standpoint of nonrelativistic supersymmetry. First, we reduce the barotropic FRW system of differential equations to simple harmonic oscillator differential equations. Employing the factorization procedure, the solutions of the latter equations are divided into the two classes of bosonic (nonsingular) and fermionic (singular) cosmological soluti...
متن کاملThe Logic of Typical and Atypical Instances (LTA)
The difference between typical instances and atypical instances in a natural categorization process has been introduced by E. Rosh and studied by cognitive psychology and AI. A lot of the knowledge representation systems are expressed in using fuzzy concepts but a degree of membership raises some problem for natural categorizations (especially to classification problems in anthropology, ethnolo...
